The million years stone and crocodile farm is a famous gem in Pattaya. The beautiful, nicely decorated park sits on over 70 acres of land. The crocodile farm, Pattaya is approximately 15 minutes drive from Pattaya. Pattaya is located approximately 140 kilometers south-east of Bangkok. The farm is 9 kilometers from Pattaya along Chaiyaphonwithi Road. It provides a stunning and exciting view to those who love wildlife and nature. A wide range of minerals and different species of plants are in this museum. Tourists from all over the world visit the crocodile farm in Pattaya to watch the beautiful animals feed and lie on the rocks. The park is quiet and serene with a beautiful landscape. Every item on this farm is perfectly arranged to give a pleasant scene.
The farm is characterized by strange rocks, some rare and beautiful flowers and over a million year old Thai styled trees similar to Bonsais even though they are bigger. Nature lovers also enjoy the amazing view of hundreds of crocodiles basking under the sun. The park provides a home for different types of wild animals including ostriches, elephants, lions, camels, tigers and different species of deer and bears.
THE CROCODILE FARM
Crocodiles are reared in the farm not just to provide a display for tourist but also to provide food. The farm is well known for being the largest crocodile farm in Thailand. Crocodile meat and eggs are part of the meals available on the menu at the restaurants within the park. Crocodile shows and magic performances are conducted seven times a day starting from 9.00 am to 5.00pm. The park is spacious providing a good habitat for the animals. Breeding of crocodiles is also undertaken in the farm.
THE STONE PARK
Huge rocks of different shapes and beautiful flowers are found in the stone and garden park. The rocks are carved nicely to form shapes of animals and each rock weighs 75 tons. The park also features the largest artificial waterfall in Thailand.
Different animals live in the exotic zoo. On an early morning, you’ll find thousands of crocodile both salt water and fresh water lying on the rocks and basking under the sun even though they prefer shady conditions. The animals are friendly and tourists get a chance to feed them and to pose for photos as well. The world’s largest catfishes weighing up to 500 kilograms, snakehead fish of the Amazon River white tigers, bears, elephants and deer are found in the park. Rare animals like Albino horses and bears are also kept in this farm. Other albino animals such as cows, horses and crocodiles are also reared in the zoo. Endangered animal species are conserved at the zoo including the cassowaries, Eastern Sarus cranes and Thepa fish.
The compound is open daily from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Admissions are done at 300 bahts for adults and 150 bahts for children.
